Dear Parents and Guardians:
Students in Grades K-4 have the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Commissioner’s Summer Math Challenge which begins on June 18. The program is FREE and is designed to help students maintain math skills through the summer.
Khan Academy Get Ready for Grade Level Math for Grades 3-8
- Go to Khan Academy Get Ready for Grade Level to enroll your child.
- Access daily fun activities and resources designed for your child’s grade and ability level.
- At the conclusion of the challenge, record the number of missions completed on the Summer Math Log and bring it back to school in September.
Connecticut’s Summer Math Passport for Grades K–4
- Go to the Summer Math Challenge Website
- Scroll down to the CT Summer Math Passport Tasks. Complete the problems for each task that correspond to your grade level.
- When summer ends, record your adventures on the Summer Math Log and bring it back to school in September.
Greg Tang Summer Math Challenge Grades K-4
- Go to Greg Tang Summer Math Challenge to find a Greg Tang Game Board designed for your child’s grade and ability level.
- Encourage your child to play each game listed on the game board Greg Tang Math Games.
- Have your child complete the Summer Math Log and bring it back to school in September.
