Science Notebook Organization 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  this information will be moved to Google classroom soon.

You may either use:

  • A small, single-subject three-ring binder just for Science
  • A section of a large, multi-subject binder that is dedicated to Science papers only 
  • Your three-ring binder should have dividers to form TWO sections:
    1. GENERAL NOTES (papers which should be kept all year)
    2. UNIT NOTES (handouts/notes on the particular topic we are studying). Keep your own notes on loose-leaf paper and keep them in order with your handouts.


Table of Contents should be in front, followed by:

  1. Science Safety Contract
  2. "Quality Work"
  3. Scientific Writing
  4. Glossary sheet #1:  Observations, inferences, etc.
  5. Glossary sheet #2: Variables, etc.
  6. "Observing" homework
  7. "Super Shoes" assignment:  note who has it, if you do not
