A Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents and Students,

Greetings and a warm welcome to the start of the 2017-2018 school year, and an exciting time of new beginnings. With each new beginning comes the opportunity to reshape and mold our school into the place we want it to be, and provide our students with the support that they need in order for them to develop his or her personal best.

Our dedicated and talented staff has created a professional learning environment which allows for the exchange of ideas that revolve around what is best for children. We work collectively to design and implement best teaching practices in education as we grow and learn together. As the year unfolds, we create special memories and encourage our students to challenge themselves, celebrate their creativity, and individuality through their daily interactions in and out of the classroom.

Flanders School is a child-centered, family-oriented place. A strong partnership between parent, child, and teacher is essential and parental involvement is a critical component that serves to enhance the educational experiences for all of our students. In addition, our PTA is an exceptional organization that supports our students and staff, while bringing numerous special programs and events to our school.

I feel privileged to be the principal of such an outstanding school, and consider myself lucky to be a member of the Flanders community. Thank you in advance for your support. On behalf of the entire school, we look forward to a rewarding year with you, the children and the caring community of Flanders School.

Respectfully,

Linda Anania
