Join the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge!
Have fun reading this summer!
The goal of summer reading is to help students maintain their reading proficiency during the extended summer break from school. While incredibly important academically, summer reading should also be fun! All East Lyme students are encouraged to read anything of interest over the summer. Please help your child choose “just right” books and help them make reading a part of their daily routine.
Have a great time reading with your child over summer break!

East Lyme High School Summer Reading-Please visit the East Lyme Public Library Website for More Information
How it works:
-
Visit the East Lyme Public Library to pick up your reading log at the Circulation Desk.
-
Enter the reading or library activity you completed on each line of the reading log; enter each item you read (or listen to) or library program you attend.
-
For each entry, you will receive a prize drawing ticket at the East Lyme Public Library. The more reading and library activities you complete, the greater your chances are to win a prize.
-
Turn in all prize drawing tickets and reading logs by September 13 to the East Lyme Public Library.
-
The prize tickets will be entered in the drawing for a chance to win these prizes. There will be one winner per prize.
-
Winners will be notified after the prize drawings in mid-September.
-
Only students that attend the East Lyme High School are eligible for prizes donated by the High School.
-
All high school students may enter the drawing for the East Lyme Public Library’s prizes of Amazon gift cards.
-
Students that complete 10 reading or library activities will also win the Library's Adult Summer Reading Challenge Prize! That prize is an East Lyme Public Library glass.
