The Work for the Project generally consists of roof replacement of the existing standing seam metal roof, roof deck and structural
purlin system at all areas as shown on the Bidding Documents for the Project and associated work including the support and protection of existing equipment and systems at the East Lyme High School Aquatic Center (the “Property”) located at 30 Chesterfield Road,
East Lyme Connecticut 06333, and will include all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the construction of the Project in accordance with, and more particularly described in, and as may be reasonably inferable from the Bidding Documents. The specific work for this Project will be defined and included within the Contract Documents.

LILLIE B HAYNES - ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT (STATE PROJECT # 045-064 RR)
The Town of East Lyme (“Town”), through the East Lyme School Building Committee (“ELSBC”) is soliciting sealed bids from responsible qualified contractors for construction and related services for roof replacement and associated work at the Lillie B. Haynes Elementary School (the “Property”) located at 29 Society Road, Niantic, Connecticut 06357 (the “Project”). Bidders are required to be pre-qualified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (“DAS”) for work in the “roofing” prequalification classification.
Sealed bids with the words “SEALED BID – LILLIE B. HAYNES ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT – BID# 2026-02” and the bidder’s name and address all clearly marked on the outer envelope, must be received by received by the ELSBC at the office of the Director of Facilities and Technology of The East Lyme Public School District Central Office Building, 165 Boston Post Road, East Lyme, CT 06333, no later than 2:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, April, 7, 2026, at which time bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. In the event of the closure of the East Lyme Public Schools Central Office Building on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, bids
will be opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. EST on the next business day that the Central Office Building is open. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. Bid submissions must be delivered in hard copy by mail, or by hand delivery, and shall include an original and three (3) copies.
The Work for the Project generally consists of roof replacements of the existing built-up roof systems with
modified bituminous membrane roofing system at all areas as shown on the Bidding Documents for the Project.
