Board of Education
The Board of Education consists of ten elected members to serve unsalaried, staggered four-year terms. Following an election, Board Members are sworn in. The yearly organizational meeting is held in December; the Board of Education elects a Chairperson and a Secretary annually during this meeting.
Regular Meetings
Board of Educations meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month, unless otherwise announced. Regular meetings are scheduled at 6:00 p.m. at East Lyme High School.
Board meetings are conducted under Robert's Rules of Order.
Meetings are streamed live and are archived on East Lyme Public School's YouTube Channel.
Public Participation
All Board meetings except Executive Sessions are open to the public.
The Board of Education addresses public comment in person at regular meetings and designates that three minutes may be allotted for each speaker.
