Anthony Maiese (B.M., M.M.) has served as the Choral Director for East Lyme High School since the Fall of 2004. He directs the Mixed Chorus, Women's Chorale, Concert Choir, & Chamber Singers. In addition he also teaches AP Music Theory. He holds a bachelors degree in both Vocal Performance & Music Education, as well as a Master of Music in Education, each from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.
In college, he was a four year member and conductor of the Ithaca College Men's Chorus (aka Ithacappella) Before moving to Connecticut to teach at ELHS, he was the choral director at Canastota Junior/Senior High School in Canastota, NY, and then the music director at G.W. Fowler High School in Syracuse, NY. While at East Lyme, he has served as the musical director for the spring musical since the spring of 2005. In addition to arranging and composing music for his choirs, he has served as the director for the Tompkins County Middle School All County Chorus in New York State and has run clinics for other choirs in the Southeast CT area.
