Downloadable Audio Books are Available!

Audio books are a great way to learn information or be entertained through literature while you are "on the go"!  The Frances Hart Ewers Library Media Center offers two types of downloadable audio books services:

Through our membership in Libraries Online (LION) students and staff have available to them a collection of almost 500 titles!  Simply access Libraries Online  and select Downloadable Audio books.  Some titles are available to all patrons simultaneously and can be burned to CD.  Other titles are "checked out" by one patron at a time, similar to checking out books from the library.  If the title you want is "out", you can place a Request/Hold on it.  Simply follow the easy instructions.  Audio books from LION are only available in MP3 format.  The Library has a small collection of MP3 players that may be checked out by students or staff.

The second option is to have the Librarian purchase an audio book from iTunes that can be transferred to an iPod device.  The Library has a small collection of iPod players that may be checked out by students or staff.  A list of purhased books is available.  See Ms. Shaw for details.
